Yes, its really lovely for a family holiday.Its not too large to walk around and has some lovely buildings and galleries.you can and should take a boat trip and see it from the water.its very expensive for alcohol,but is a far more safe and civilised place for that reason.the people speak impeccable english and a very friendly.we did a home exchange with a swedish family and stayed in their home on the archipelago-i can highly recommend this and will advise if you e-mail me.

Nicer than Oslo, not as nice as Copenhagen in my opinion.

As with everything, depends what you want to do, what time of year you go, how much you have to spend etc.

Best thing to give you chance to make up your own mind is to google it.
Yes it is! LoL... Well,its been voted best city in europe before.
Lotsa things to do and see.Must not miss exploring "Gamla Stan" , the Absolut ice bar at the Nordic Sea Hotel,also the nightlife..Oh also dont miss Skansen.U can check out more at the links below.Taxes can be a lil high here but only if ure living here,LoL...but other wise its a rather safe city to visit.Hope it helps! :) V盲lkommen till Sverige
