What is the best location in Europe to visit? |
Travel Info For someone who has not yet been...? Travel Tips No doubt whatsoever - Italy. Italy has more history than any other European country. In terms of natural beauty it is by far the best - ranging from alpine peaks of over 15000ft to azure seas lapping white sandy beaches . Italy must be one of the few countries where - in the right season - you can spend the morning skiing and the afternoon sun-bathing on a gorgeous Mediterranean beach. Italy also has by far the best food - forget France- Italy is way better. The people are amongst the friendliest in Europe and even the most halting attempt at Italian will be appreciated. I could go on for ages but having lived in many countries in Europe I can assure you from personal experience Italy is number one. France and Spain would be my next favourites in that order. Venice has the water "roads" and everything is a boat, taxi, bus, everything! Paris has a night life and has a lot of tourism spots like the eiffel tower! Depends on what you like. I only took a western europe big city tour for the most part. I didn't care so much for the cultures of northern europe as much as I did for southern europe, it is more my style. I loved Barcelona, Venice and Paris. These were my three favorite cities. I have heard Rome is fantastic, but never went myself. But if you like food, Italy is terrific. It was the best food I had on my trip. Prague is supposed to be terrific also, but I never went. Red light district of amsterdam in the Netherlands Scandinavia: Well connected by sea and rail, the 4 countries, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Sweden are tourist paradise. frequent traveler |
