Need some tips on driving in Paris and in France.?

Travel Info
Planning on visiting France in two weeks. The plan right now is to rent a car in Paris and drive up to Normandy/Mount Saint Michel and then over to Dijon region then back to Paris. 7 days total. Need some tips on driving in Paris and France in general. Any advice?

Travel Tips
Driving in Paris is hard, first because of traffic jams and then because most drivers are completely mad! On the other hand, i love it (it's a kind of struggle for life and i find it quite funny). Last, big problem to park your car, unless you're willing to pay a lot. Public transports are so convenient that if i were you, i would use them.
Driving in the rest of the country is definitely less difficult. Roads are very good, more indications than in the USA (if you know the places where you have to go, it's possible to drive without any map) and there're so many roads that you can go anywhere you want. It's the best way to discover France, in my opinion.
Just few rules :
- In France, we give way to people arriving on the right, unless they have to stop
- Police are quite strict with speed limits, be careful
- You have to keep right on motorways, unless you overtake of course
- Pedestrians have priority EVERYWHERE
Otherwise, if you're from the USA, no big differences. If you're British, it might be silly to remind it, but drive on the right ; )
Bye!

Driving in the French countryside might be OK, but my advice regarding driving in Paris would simply be the following: don't. I would definitely take the m茅tro and/or walk instead. However, by simply Googling "Driving in France", I was able to find the following: http://www.americansinfrance.net/driving...
