I need to find information on how the French star rate chambres/gites? |
Travel Info Hi, i am after information on what they look for in the propertys when they star rate them. My friend owns her own gite/chambre buisness in france and is due to get her place star rated. Obviously the higher the star the more people will want to stay. Where can i find the info she need to get her place ready, and maybe add a few things. Other Travel Tips It depends on who's doing the rating. There are several associations or businesses which could be involved, including her local chamber of commerce or tourist office. It could be G卯tes de france, Cl茅vacances or a UK based holiday promoter such as Chez Nous. Most of these should have information available for the owners. They could be looking at different aspects, depending on to whom their market is catering. Look at the competition too within the same promoter; see what the higher rated properties have to offer. hi, something helpful to know is the top star rating in france is 4, not 5 like in the UK. a 2 star hotel in france is like a 3 star one in the UK. |
