Travel Info I am going to France in july.In to the city named Toulous..Is it expensive there??Is there places in which I can buy clothes? and is there places to have fun or to drink sth? I have heard that France is really expensive.and is it really hot in july in France?? thanks... Travel Tips Toulouse is a gorgeous city, surnamed "La Ville Rose", as red brick is the main building material used. It is a fairly prosperous city, the 5 or 6th largest in France and is home to several private and public universities - so there lots of young people and the places to cater to them. As for expensive, in comparison to the US (I'm assuming that you are American), yes it is. The exchange rate is something like 1.34 right now. Expect to pay about 2 euros for a coffee on a terrasse, 7 euros for a pint in a pub and 'cheap' clothes run about 25 euros and up. However, there is tons of stuff to see and do in Toulouse without spending much. Buy picnic stuff in a grocery store to avoid the high costs of caf茅s and restaurants, bring a guide book and a map and just wander! And yes, it will most likely be very hot.
