How many hours does it take to get from staffordshire to normandy in france? |
Travel Info school trip Travel Tips That would partly depend on where you start from in Staffordshire and whereabouts you are heading in Normandy. The drive from Stafford itself to Newhaven harbour (for example, the shortest sea crossing to Normandy) is 221 miles and would take 3 1/2 to 4 hours with a coffee break. The ship crossing to Dieppe takes 4 hours plus loading & unloading. Now add the time to drive from Dieppe to wherever it is you are planning to go. Look at Transmanche ferries for crossing details; i have used them once and it was ok. They have a fairly new ship and they gave me the cheapest price, compared to the alternative (and much longer) routes from Portsmouth to Cherbourg or Caen. Hope you have a good holiday, whichever route you take.
