The marseillais have a hugely inflated self-opinion and a kind of inverted snobbery...being lower class from Marseille is a kind of badge of honour, seeing as they don't have much else to be proud of. They also have a strong regional accent which they deliberately make even more incomprehensible for anyone from outside the immediate area. Suffers badly in comparison with Montpellier.
