Take a Taxi to "Nikolai-Viertel" - some part of down-town, lotta good German restaurants overthere. Watch the signs in the windows saying "Eisbein", and NOPE, it's NOT disgusting. Just leave the fat on the plate, meat is fantastic and goes best with Sauerkraut and a good glass of "Berliner Pilsener" (beer). Enjoy! Guten Appetit :-) Watch your teeth LOL. Restaurant "Zur Letzten Instanz" Established in 1621, Berlin's oldest restaurant resides in a forgotten nest of medieval streets, but German tourists do find it and then disperse among the warren of rooms. The small menu points to Berlin's most traditional dish and the specialty: Eisbein (pork knuckle). Napol茅on is said to have sat alongside the tile stove, Mikhail Gorbachev sipped a beer here in 1989, and Chancellor Gerhard Schr枚der treated French president Jacques Chirac to a meal here in 2003.
