We have military bases there, the people generally like Americans and vice versa, and they both love Michael Hasselhoff.
Fat women? Love of beer and sausage? White men who can't dance? An "e", "a", and "n"? Neo-nazis? BMW? Looking for something more specific?
About 17% of Americans are of German heritage. In fact, German is commonly spoken in many towns and villages in Pennsylvania and Indiana. Many famous Americans where born in Germany. Many Germans came to America in the 1700's and fought for the colonies in the Revolutionary War.

I moved here 6 years ago from Germany, because culture and lifestyle are very similar (I wouldn't have dared moving to China)
the difference is that you have more freedom, less bureaucracy and lower taxes here - I like it
