What is the four main airport stations in Germany ? |
Travel Info What is the four main airport stations in Germany ? Travel Tips Frankfurt , Munich , Berlin and probably Dusseldorf Others Those listed above are the main ones. There are also several others. Look on the website listed in the resources for a list of all of them. http://goeurope.about.com/od/germanytran... Hamburg is missing from the answers above - it is important because a lot of Danes fly from Hamburg into their holidays. Stuttgart is also a popular destination and, like Duesseldorf and Munich, serves as a substitute airport for overcrowded Frankfurt. Some airlines avoid Frankfurt in order to save on airport taxes, thus offering cheaper tickets to Germany. P.S. Just checked the link above. What the "Flugplatz Magdeburg" is doing in that list escapes me, as the only planes it has ever seen are 1-engine Cessna and the like. There is no way for it to compete with Leipzig or Hannover or Berlin, where Boeing 747 and Airbus A 380 can land. I live in Magdeburg! That would clearly depend on where you're coming from as there are all these smaller airlines now that fly into smaller airports from European and North African/Middle Eastern places. :) Generally speaking, the biggest international airport in Germany is FRANKFURT am MAIN. Germany's second-largest airport is MUNICH/MUENCHEN. BERLIN has 3 airports within its city limits, SCHOENEFELD being the largest international one. #4 would be HAMBURG. Being German. |
