You should be of legal age (18) otherwise they might suspect you're a runaway child (happened to a friend of mine).If you aren't 18 yet, you should have proof of your parents consent (by travelling in a school or church group or whatever) or have their telephone number ready - police might be tempted to call them.Plus, have the adress where you'll staying with you - they might check there too. 18 I thought that this would be an easy question to answer but it was not. However contact the German Consulate in your country for travel information's they can be really helpful. 18 is the rule, unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. There are exceptions for exchange students and students but you have other requirement to meet, such as a place of residence, and health insurance. Contact the German Consulate for more information.
