Do house addresses in Germany has numbers? or names?

Travel Info
i have an address in Pattensen, Germany which I'm unsure about. There is no numbering? It's ok? If it's a name, is it alright that the house name has no connection to the person's name? And the next problem I'm facing is I can't really read the writing. So can anyone in Pattensen be kind to help me? I would appreciate if you leave your email too. Currently, I'm guessing the word is either Kreunbrgr or Kreuzbrgr. Please help m as this means the world to me!

So, what I've figured out, is that there is a street in Pattensen calles " Kreuzberger Str. " .
It's the only street name, which starts with " Kr " .
Usually, we do have house numbers , but houses have no names .
You can have a look at the yellow pages under
http://www4.dastelefonbuch.de/?la=en&cx=...

by entering the person's name and town, and then you will have the adress, too.

As Pattensen only has round about 15000 inhibitants, i think, it would be ok to send a letter without housenumber, if you cannot find this.

Have a nice day and greetings from Hamburg

GEnerally they have the format
<COMPANY NAme>

Aachener Stra脽e 300

I am not in Peterson, but as far as I can thin it should be Kreuzbrgr.
Living in Germany for last 5 years
All German addresses have house numbers unless it is a company that owns the whole street or a major company that is prominent in a town

Example:

Hach AG (this company no longer exsists)
64851 Gross Bieberau

But if sending a letter or package to a person in a house, you need the house number. My ex-wife works for the Post AG and they will often return a letter or package if it has no number. Excepts to this rule do apply for small towns where every postal worker knows all the residents. But in larger areas it will probably get sent back.

Also, Kreuzbrgr is a shortened version of Kreuzberger. So the address "should" look something like this:

NAME
Kreuzbrgr(str or strasse) ####
Zip Code, Pattensen, DE/GE
The private addresses has persons name, street name, house #, zip code and city name.
Companies has the company name, street name, house #, zip code and city name.
If you know the persons name and the street (Kreuzbergstr.) without house # and the city, that will be enough. The Post Office find out which house #.
