Travel Tips There is NO limit on the amount of cash you can bring either out of the US or into Germany - BUT if you have more than USD 10,000 (or equivalent in foreign currency) you are required to declare it when you leave the US. When travelling to Germany, you must declare if you have more than 15,000 Euros cash (or equivalent in other currencies).
