Will my orange pay as you go phone work in germany? |
Travel Info Going to germany on holiday, need my phone. Travel Tips Yes, but it will be expensive. When I first came to Germany I had my T-Mobile Pay as you Go phone - I think it cost me 1 pound a minute to receive or make calls... You should be able to top up here - when I was in the UK recently I topped my German Vodafone phone up there - ask in an Orange shop if this is possible - they will also give you the rates etc.. The best option is to text and tell people to text you as well if they need you. Depending on where you are staying you can make cheap international calls...for example when I phone home it costs less than 2p a minute from a German landline phone. - A good option if you are stayimg with friends. To do this you have to look on the internet for a code to dial before calling the UK no. If you want help with this and the website details - just ask me.. Have fun! Others yes so longas you ring orange before you go and activate romaing and you have a dual band mobile. it will be expensive so put lots of credit on!!! enjoy your hols Yes it will work but it will be expensive to make and receive calls. Ensure that you have plenty of credit on the phone before you go as you won't be able to top up in Germany. |
