Stores in germany?

are there stores like kmart,walmart,target, the same ones in the us? what about restaurants?

As an American who has been living in Germany for almost 10 years now, I麓m afraid I can麓t add much to what has already been said. Just don麓t come here expecting the USA but with a different language. There are no KMarts, WalMarts (thank God they left!) or Targets (unfortunately) but remember Aldi started here and is everywhere. Most American fast food can be found here, but why not try something local and healthy? If you insist there are McDonalds, Wendys, Pizza Hut, Subway, Starbucks, KFC in most larger cities...but if you are going to eat there you might just as well stay in the Us..it麓s cheaper!
Others

We have our own supermarket chains, like Rewe, Globus, Edeka, Aldi, Lidl, and others. WalMart existed here for some years, but they all closed again now.
Some american restaurant chains are McDonalds, Burger King, Pizza Hut, Subway, Starbucks and a very very few KFC.
Some german fastfood chains are Kochl枚ffel and Nordsee.

REAL, TOOM are like Walmart.
Are you going there to shop in American stores and eat american food? Man if so, you are missing out on the best of what Germany as to offer! If you want only amerikan stuff - stay here!!!!
the stores are not like the stores in america, some times you have to really think about what you are looking for there are not however stores like the walmart super center where you can get everything from craft supplies to fish sticks
real is the closest thing I have found to walmart ..

as far as eating places you will find the basic but dont start singing the chillis songs, I havent found an arby's.. and be ready to pay out the nose for ketchup packets!!
