What is GERMANY's Country code?

I am trying to place a call to germany..but i have been told that i have to have the country code for that. I also need the city code. Here is the info:

Forget the other zero. It is for "in-country" calling.

It's 0049, Munich citycode is the 089. If you dial both together it's just 004989...
From the US, you dial:

0049-89-78594-413

Same when you fax something. You drop the zero in front of the city code (i.e. 089 becomes 89).

Country code for Germany is 049. City code for Munich is 089.
So you want to make a phone call,
Dial: 49-89-78594 413 or fax: 49-89-78594 479.

Germany's code is 49 - however, the city code will always start with a ZERO, but when you call from the USA, you don't dial it.
