I am not sure of the website, but type in Rosetta Stone in Google and check it out. It is an online class that has been voted #1 forever. There are tons of languages to choose from. I hope this helps.
Whatever source you choose, make sure it's an "audio" and printed one. Many German words are not pronounced the way we would pronounce them in English. I used recorded lessons with books to follow along; this taught me the look as well as the correct prounciation. One common mistake: words like: "stein" in English we would likely see that and pronounce it "steen". In German the "long" vowel sound is the SECOND vowel. For example, "Main" is pronounced
"MINE" not "Mane". The German word for the answer "no" is "nein" pronounced "nine." Good luck, German is a wonderful language to learn.
There are some nice books and lessons available online.

For example:

- German course at Deutsche Welle (international German TV + Radio)

http://de.wikibooks.org/wiki/regal:deuts...
- Wikibooks, German for foreign people
-- the links are (from top to bottom):
- for English speaking people
- Grammar for English speaking people
- for French speaking people
- for Spanish speaking people
- for Arabic speaking people
- for Chinese speaking people
- for Finnish speaking people
- for Italian speaking people
- for Japanese speaking people
- for Portuguese speaking people
- for Turkish speaking people

They are not all completed now, just try them :-)
At dict.leo.org, you can set up a vocabulary training programm. There is also a free online dictionary with audio files so you can listen to how the words are pronounced. And forums where you can discuss words and their meanings (and pretty much everything else) with others.
Leran another language can seem like an impossible task when you're faced with a mountain of vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation.
