Can anyone tell me sites of historical interest in Thuringia, Germany?

Travel Info
I'm particularly interested in Natural History. Would love to learn more about extinct European megafauna, although social history is also interesting to me. If you know any really interesting places I could get to from Jena, outside of Thuringia plz also offer them. I have shiny stars to offer!
