Planning for honeymoon to Srinagar in July... need u frnds advice for the same whether its safe or not??? |
Travel Info Hi Friends, I am planning my honeymoon trip to Srinagar. So i wanted ur suggestions. Is the july time period is good for the trip to Srinagar??? how safe it is to go there?? So could anyone of you help me out of this situation. Thanks & Regards, Shrinivas Travel Tips dear sri ni, srinagar is safe...and let me tell you in chandigarh which is having most safe traffic in India much more people die every year in road accident then no of people die in srinagar due to terrisom. so go ahead and enjoy ur honey moon.... pices of advice: take flight from delhior jammu to srinagar ...dont go by road...its long and tiring. spend only one or two night in house boats and not full stay. rest of time stay in some good hotel Others I went last October and stayed in Houseboat for 3 nights. My tour guide took us on muslim festival holiday HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI (we call that in Malaysia). Almost all the shops closed because of the festival holidays. NO shopping disappointed. But after I came back and I told my friends, they got frightened and ask me what made me go to Srinagar. Not only me all of us who went to Srinagar were approached by our friends and they said is not safe. I did interview few soldiers in Srinagar , i think in gulmarg not sure the name, the sodier told me that is not safe for tourist to go over there. Why you want to go Srinagar? there are lot of other places you can visit, India Hill stations- Kodaikanal, Ooty Mysoore, Hassan, or Houseboat in Aleeppy.Or Delhi, MUmbai etc... or come to Malaysia is visit Malaysia year 2007. WHY SRINAGAR! Srinagar is not for honeymoon couples. This is my advise is up to you to take it. |
