Is it possible to go rameshwaram from madurai by train now?

As i heard that trains r not running between these two cities now.

No!!. Only test ride has been made. Trains will run only in October. You can go by road. It is 170 kms and will take 3 hrs. On the way u can have food at Ramnad.
A simple solution would be to take a train from Madurai to Tiruchirapalli. From there ou can take a train to Rameshwaram. Direct trains will be available from the last week of October.
