GOA - been on trip there, loved it. Thinking of moving there - good idea? |
Travel Info Do you live there? any tips? I'm a freelance graphic designer / artist and a SCUA diving instructor..could I get work? rent a place, - Anjuna? or some where better, just ideas.. would love advice. Travel Tips Easy to live in Goa as you see, but as for work, very difficult. You've seen the people begging on the beach etc. Easy work is pill pushing of course, many vacancies Others well if your young and carefree, even older and carefree. go for it, try the big hotels, see if it is possible to give lessons in the pool on scuba diving, impress them with all your qualifications and any certificates you may have. bet loads of people would love the opportunity to learn. especially long stay tourist.. best of luck. and if needs be. a few well drawn arty pictures would go down well in anjuna hippy market. its inexpensive to live in Goa, so a few bucks go a long way My friends from England fell in love with Goa and decided to retire there. They wanted to buy a house and made a deal with a builder who simply did not deliver. Finally they got fed up and lost the money. So if you are really moving there watch out for every kind of shark. I am a Goan. Yes Goa is a beautiful place but remember one theing Goa is a backward state in India and has some of the most worst governments governing it... as a graphic designer u will have a big problem in a place like Anjuna n that is called electricity supply Scuba diving is an interesting thing to fall back on in season (december to Feb) need more help call me 9346208764... PS: Although i am a goan i do not live there but work in hyd... |
