Travel Info As i am getting married in december and my wife wants to have visit at vaishnavdevi and the nearby temples. So can i have anyone who suggest me what will be the best way to get the blessing of vaishnavdevi along with enjoying my honeymoon. Travel Tips From where will your pilgrimage originate? Others Vaishnodevi is the most known place in India. From Jammu you can take a private vehicle or you can go by bus. Distance : about 45 kms , You will reach Katra by road. From Katra you have to climb to reach Vaishnodevi. The distance is about 14 Kms and you can climb, you can take a doli, you can take a horse. You need to decide how you wish to do this. Remember that to & fro distance is about 28 kms or so and it will be very tiring, if you prefer to walk the distance. You can get back to Jammu and take a vehicle to Patnitop. It's about 4 hours journey in private vehicle. You can enquire for a vehicle at Katra, too. There's a road connecting to Jammu-Patnitop national highway. It's not much travelled but you can save lots of time and you need not go back to Jammu to reach Patnitop. It's a nice place to stay and enjoy the scenic views as well as each other's company.
