I'm flying into Shannon Ireland in a couple of weeks and need a good place to stay near Tralee.? |
Travel Info I'm backbacking and not certain if Tralee is the place to go but would like a small but fun small town to spend the night and get my bearings. Any suggestions?? Travel Tips Hi there, I actually live in Clare, which is where Shannon airport in located & I think that the best "small but fun" town for you to be visit would Ennis, the mian town in Clare. Ennis is just 12 miles / 19 kilomentres from Shannon & buses go frequently (see link to timetable below). Ennis is very lively, with lovely shops (both hight street & local craft/tourist)great pubs & restaurants - everything from cheap & cheerful to a bit more exclusive. There are also some great Bed & Breakfasts & hostels in the small town which will be no trouble to find. Hope you have a nice stay in Ireland. http://www.buseireann.ie/site/your_journ... I'm not certain about Tralee because when I was there we didn't stay overnight...but one place I would suggest is Dingle, a little out west of that...bike riding there along the coast with all of the fishermen bringing in their boats in the 'wee' hours of the morning! SO nice! :) I'm so jealous you're going! :) |
