What is the best place to stay in Killarney Ireland? |
Travel Info What is the best place to stay in Killarney Ireland? Travel Tips It depends on your price range and whether or not you have a car.The higher end of the market hotels that are good would be The Europe hotel and the Aghadoe heights hotel(you would need a car)or The southern hotel(it's right in town )the middle range would be The Killarney towers,The international,The plaza,or Randels court(all in town). The lower end would be Ryans hotel or the Dromhall hotel. Others I stayed in the Neptunes Town Hostel...very clean, quiet and good value for money..great location also... I have stayed at: Kathleen's Country House--friendly and basic Great Southern--plush and oldworldly and my personal favorite The Arbutus--It has been there forever, friendly, smaller, and right in the middle of town. They have traditional music and a great bar and restaurant. Stayed their with 13 other family members. They treated US like family! Have fun! You didn't give your price range. If you have a lot of dough to spend please PLEASE don't stay at the Killarney Park/Ross Hotel. Those people are jerks. They made me cry. Neptune's is nice if you want to play it cheap, and yes, it is a great location. Kinda noisy at night though, but if you're in Ireland you'll probably be out all night anyway. Oh, there's also an electic little hostel called The Sugan. That might be worth a web search too. And Drimon House is a cheap B&B that's very clean. I lived in Killarney for a few months last year. The Killarney Towers Hotel is a very nice 3-star hotel, set in a great location. It's just a five minute walk from the train station and is right within the town itself. The rooms are lovely, and they do a great breakfast. I'd definitely recommend this as a good quality, reasonably-priced hotel. |
