Different Irish accents?

Travel Info
What is the difference between a northen Irish accent and a Southern Irish accent? I am doing the character Patrick Diamond from The Harp in the South for my dramatic monologue (grr) and he's originally from northern Ireland. That means, I must (or try to) speak with his accent. Are there any pointers you could give me? Thanks alot!

Oh, and I have an Australian accent.

Travel Tips
Yes, why not log onto the local radio stations and listen to our presenters talking to the listeners. Believe me you'll hear many different accents and will probably end up having a bit of a laugh. Try- www.bbc radio ulster.com www.radiofoyle.com Anyway, you are an Australian and that means you won't have a problem picking up the accent. Hey,good luck. CEAD MILE FAILTE! Source(s): I'm from Derry,Northern Ireland.
