Travel Info

Travel Tips
Sl谩inte! or cheers in Gaelis is phonetically pronounced slahn-CHA

The te in Gaelic phonetically makes a cha sound Source(s): What I used to get me started. At the bottom of the page lists some good books on Gaelic

You say "slanj ee va" (cheers) which turns into:
SLANJ - then as the night rolls on Sladg - then slaaaaa...
then no more for me - honest then slaaaaaaaaaaaah aaah aaah aahahahahah (often into the big white telephone to god!)

Thats a night out with the Irish where I come from (UK)
Cracking!
Correct! I grew up there. But it's a short cha & pronounced as one word not two.
Yes your right. Its pronounced slawn-cha. Make sure its a very very sharp and short cha though. Pronounce it as one word not two like slawncha. Good luck!
