Can i use my birth certificate and provisional license to travel to ireland as i have no passport? |
Travel Info i think its southern ireland i am going to!!! x Travel Tips yes you can travel all over Ireland without a passport even into Northern Ireland no passport required your license will do. Source(s): I live in Belfast and have traveled all over the U.K. with out a passport. Other Travel Tips unfortunatley you need photographic identification not sure if provisional driving licence is? sorry they weren't when I had one. sorri you need photo id A passport is an internationally recognized travel document that verifies the identity and nationality of the bearer. A valid U.S. passport is required to enter and leave Ireland. http://travel.state.gov/travel/requireme... You MUST have a passport. To get your first passport, you do need your original birth certificate and a photo id to get one. Some states have passport offices in their main post office. Some states you have to go to the court-house. They also might have their own picture taking service for passport photos. You do need a 1 X 1 1/2 inch photo of you with a white background. You also have to look straight into the camera like you are taking your driver's license or state I.D. pic. Im an American living in Egypt right now for the 2nd time. ;) good luck! |
