Which cell phone provider has the best coverage in Ireland?

Travel Info
Do they have Verizon, Sprint, AT&T, or something else?

Travel Tips
Ah an American

O2 has good deals and good coverage, especially on the shore on the west coast. Vodafone Ireland (formally Eircell) are the only two I would go with in Ireland.

If you have Verizon or Sprint and visiting forget bringing your cell phone. CDMA phones don't work here in Ireland. ATT and T Mobile phones if you bring your phones make sure the SIM lock is off. If you are visiting for a few days - best deal is getting a pay as you go card from O2 - they have an early bird card for local calls or a night owl which get you slightly better airtime minutes than vodaphone. no just o2 , vodafone or meteor go with meteor its the cheapest
im with meteor its cheap...but coverage is crap so 02 or vodafone are best for coverage
O2 is best for coverage. But Meteor is cheaper, and when Meteor has no coverage it moves to O2. So Meteor is probably a better network to go with.
yes like Verizon, Sprint, AT&T would bother with this little island in the middle of the atlantic :P

no, we have a number of mobile phone companies here in ireland. The two best are o2 and Vodafone. either are as good as each other imo.

we dont have walmart, target, home depot or kmart here either but we do got mcdonalds, burger king, subway and starbucks.
i haven't heard of any of those but the best coverage by far is o2
