Does anyone know about st fachnan well in the Burren, Ireland?

Travel Info
While on our honeymoon in Ireland, my husband and I were driving through the Burren and noticed a square stone structure in a field with some sheep. On the side of the road there was a sign that read "St. Fachnan Well/Tobar Na Fiachtnan". I got out to take some pictures. There was an opening in one side and someone had left a tin cup there. In that same area, there were at least 4-5 more of these square structures. The stood 3-4 feet tall and the same across. Just wondering about the history of these structures.

Travel Tips
"Holy wells are wells which are a focus of supernatural divination, cure or devotion on a regular basis. Holy wells come in many different forms, from a depression in a rock to an elaborate structure housing the water source. Votive offerings are left at many, and some holy wells are associated with a cure for a particular illness. Most holy wells are associated with a saint, and some have a pattern day during which pilgrimages are carried out. There are over 220 holy wells surviving in County Clare."

I got this from http://www.clarelibrary.ie/eolas/coclare...
It doesn't seem to have your well, but there is a "Tobernafiaghanta" that could possibly be it. You'll be able to tell from the picture anyway.
