Does any one know what bogota colombia is like? |
Travel Info I was wondering cause i was thinking about going there and supriseing my girlfriend that is studying there Travel Tips Colombia鈥檚 capital city, Bogot谩, is a city of contrasts. While high-rise buildings stand next to colonial churches, the city hosts a wide range of universities, theaters ,museums, and It is also Colombia's largest financial, political, and cultural center. Bogota is a modern and cosmopolitan city that offers residents and visitors everything that a modem city can give including a vibrant and diverse cultural and intellectual life. Tip:This is applicable to most large cities in the world: Use the same common sense traveling overseas that you would at home.. ( avoid areas where you are likely to be victimized,avoid carrying large amounts of cash,etc) Have a safe trip, and, check this out: http://english.bogotaturismo.gov.co... Others Bogota (the Capital of Colombia) is very beautiful but a bit chilly so make sure you pack some warm clothes. The night clubs there are phenomenal if you like to party. I I spent a few days there once, I enjoyed it. It has a great gold museum (the biggest in the world) you can take a cable car to one of the peaks overlooking the city for great views. Prices are reasonable - depending of course on the currency you have already! Nightlife - great , always somewhere to go. GO!!! Nice city, you land at EL DORADO airport. They say south of Bogoya maybe risky and you have to get used to armed people in the streets. People yn general is very warm, city a little bit crawded but I really liked it on my las trip (Feb) I went there once..! u gotta be loco to go to colombia. blaaaaah! |
