Can someone give me one interesting fact about a Spanish speaking country in South America? |

Other Travel Tips Mexico had a printing press 100 years before America. Argentina,Venezuela,Colombia,P... all speak Spanish. Brazil speaks Portuguese. Peru. check out the name of the towns in all spanish speaking countries in south america they all have the same names as the towns in Spain... eg.; Medellin, Real,Guadalupe, Carmen, Santander, San Fermin, Ronda, Mallorca, Escalante, Most women have 2 names and the first name is always " Maria " eg ; Maria Isabel, Maria Mercedes, Maria Clara, Maria Concepcion, Maria Corazon... etc... a large number of south american women are not just beautiful, they are devastatingly beautiful... south american men are very passionate and emotional to the point of it almost becoming a personality disorder, they will literally love or hate until death... the whole of spanish speaking south america closes down daily during the period known as "siesta " this as around 2-5 pm when th whole country practically shuts down because everybody sleeps, ( shops, banks, stores slowly opens again around 5:30 pm ) Paraguay is the only country in the world where one side of the flag is different from the other. Also, based on immigration and agricultural development in the Eastern part of the country a typical restaurant can have German & Japanese speakers (whose relatives immigrated after WWII), Guarani (the local indian language) and Portuguese speakers (from recent Brazil immigrants). They sit at different tables and speak their own language, mostly and they have to speak Spanish to each other if they want to understand each other. "All the countries in Latin America, except for Brazil are Spanish speaking." Not true. Belize, Guyana and Suriname are not Spanish speaking |
