Travel Tips
Colombia is an ethnic mosaic of culture, folklore, arts and crafts. The different roots and traditions that bloomed through the years have produced interesting fusions.
Whether for its culture, sports, ecology, fairs, history, beaches, cities, or because of the adventure, Colombia is an outstanding country waiting to be discovered.
If you travel in February, you can also visit Barranquilla "El Festival de Barranquilla (Festival 2nd important after Brazil) Source(s): Cartagena World Heritage

Other Travel Tips
I'd say costa rica, although i'm sure both places would include amazing experiences! Have fun!
My 22 yo son is at this moment in Costa Rica on a surfing holiday not far from Motezuma... and loving it!!! At a hostel in his own tent for $7 a day, one meal included.... now beat that!!
you must go to Costa Rica you will not regret this. God is all around you in his artwork.
Costa rica is great for beaches an rainforests, but Columbian cities have culture and good nightlife.
