I am going to bogota colombia with a couple of friends, what places should we visit and what places should we avoid ???
also where should we go to meet some nice girls ??

The Salt cathedral in Zipaquira(unique in the world) Monserrate and the Gold museum (the biggest gold collection in the world) are some of the things you can not miss if you visit Bogot谩.
For people visiting Bogot谩, the best bars and places to go at night are in "La Zona Rosa"
Do not forget to visit the restaurant: Andres Carne de Res!
The best place for food, drinks and dance. It is not in Bogot谩, but only 30 minutes from there!

Just practice common sense as in any other big city in the world, try blending whith the locals! meaning 'keep a low profile'

Other Travel Tips
You will have a fantastic time. I am a little envious.

The nightclubs in el Centro, also known as la Candelaria, are happening. I definitely would go to Quiebra Canto [Carrera 5 No 17-76 ] and to Antifaz [Carrera 15 no 4-34].

In the Zona Rosa, [my favorite area that is located between Carrerras 11 y 15, Calles 81 to 84] I would recommend Gotica [Calle 14 no 82-50].

Pick up a copy of the Lonely Planet Guide to Colombia in almost any decent book store. It is very good.

Also, the number one danger there is crossing the street. No kidding - there is no concept of right of way for pedestrians.

Also, don't carry much cash. Use and ATM [in Colombia, it is called an ATH - same thing].

PS If you walk up to Montserrate, make sure you do it on Saturday or Sunday - otherwise you are asking to get mugged. Walking down sucks - believe me.
