Travel Tips they typical food for puertorricans is Pasteles with arroz con gandules, pork, guineos verdes, tostones, morcillas, frituras... good luck! Others Well i'm half puerto rican & my mom & family always cook arroz con candules.. which is yellow rice with pigeon peas.. theirs empanedillas (its something like a beef patty), tostones (its fried flatted slices of green bananas).. those are main foods.. & we definately are meat lovers... pork chops, chicken, pernil (which is pork shoulder).. sometimes we even cook whole pigs in cookouts.. hope this helped a lil..
