What country in Central America is the most progressed and developed? |
Travel Info What country in Central America is the most progressed and developed? Travel Tips El Salvador. They dollarized, the banks have cleaned up their act and they got rid of a lot of the gangs. Some would say Panama, but Panama was never a part of the Central American Union, When the Union was formed, Panama was still part of Colunbia. Others i'm guessing costa rica. panama would be my next guess. I think its either Chile or Brazil Costa Rica This depends on how you define "progressed and developed." If you're looking for tall buildings and "city life," then definitely Panama. However, if you're more interested in a country that has been 'progressive' for over a decade, then Costa Rica will be the place. Both are wonderful countries and very distinct. Costa Rica is well known for not having a military and putting more funds into education. The tours in Costa Rica also tend to be geared toward ecotourism. Panama on the other hand has the canal zone, shopping malls, a relatively big city (the size of Miami) with tall highrise condos, etc. It also has ecotours but they are not as well known as it's next door neighbor, Costa Rica. Another great aspect of Panama is the currency is the U.S. dollar, so when you go to buy lunch... you don't have to "do the currency math." Hope this helps! www. Move to Central America .com http://www.movetocentralamerica.com/... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/costa_rica... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/panama... I believe Central America has come a long way. Many say Costa Rica is the most developed country, however, that all depends on each and everyone's understanding of developed. Financially, I believe Costa Rica is not doing so well, their currency in comparison with the dollar is very high. El Salvador, although they adopted the Dollar to be their currency is giving them some problems. Everything has become more expensive for the regular citizen. Would you pay $1.25 for a gallon of milk when your monthly salary is $300? this figure it's taken from the average salary in the country. Guatemala is very rich country, their currency holds at Q7.71 per Dollar. unfortunately the crime is taking too much from this beautiful country. Guatemala, has a lot of industries, and exports a lot, such as coffee, textiles, just to mention a few. In my opinion, Central America should be a country itself, because each of the five countries complement each other a lot. |
