Where in Central or South American is a good place to get the real rainforest feel? |
Travel Info I want to go either to South America or Central America and get the feel of the rainforest. I dont want to be in a tourist place cause i want the real feel of the rainforest but i dont want to be getting bit by snake and spiders at night either. Can anyone help me out. Travel Tips In South America the biggest rainforest is in Brazil, called the Amazon. In Central America the biggest rainforest is the Bosawas Biosphere Reserve in Nicaragua. Both are the biggest rainforest reserves in the continent of the Americas. Both are known to have the best biodiversity in their regions and neither are too touristy. Others Costa Rica is probably the safest. Colombia is dangerous because they have rebels and drug growers in the jungle, and Brazil is too large, in case you need medical help Mayan Jungle, Tikal. (Guatemala) Brazil has a big jungle you know the whole rainforest thing. discovery channel A true rainforest without snakes or spiders? With that attitude, the Rainforest Cafe is your best bet, hon. You can't experience the real thing without the inconveniences. That said, the Iguazu Falls between Argentina and Brazil (can be accessed from both sides) might be close to what you want, plus they are simply awesome. Both places are dangerous and extremely unstable. Come to puerto rico.. we have rain forests here.. and you don't have to put yourself in danger of the other countries |
