Does anyone know a good and cheap place to stay in caye caulker, Belize or possibly cayo? |
Travel Info My sister and I need a place to stay while we visit our mother in belize. Any advice? Travel Tips Although good and cheap are often not synonymous, Caye Caulker may be the exception. There are lots of hotels for such a small island. Caye Caulker is probably the most reasonably priced caye in Belize. It seems to be more of a local getaway than a foreign tourist destination but thats why I love the place. I've been to the island several times on SCUBA expeditions and I usually stay at Auxillou Beach Suites. It is probably the most expensive hotel on the island but they are all very similarly priced. It has the nicest rooms and it has a great location right on the beach. If you stay here ask for a room on the second floor for the best view. A cheaper alternative is the Tree Tops Guest House. It does not have as nice rooms and location but it is cheaper and a really good value. Have fun and say hi to the reef for me!
