Will ever be laid an intercontinental road between Colombia and Panama? |
Travel Info The map shows a continuity, but it's phisycally impossible to access Panama from Colombia and vice versa Travel Tips The Colombians are eager to build the road, but Panamanians aren't. Remember that it's not only one country involved here. Right now Panama is careful for 2 main reasons: 1. The problems arising from the civil unrest between the government and the armed militia in Colombia. 2. Aftose fever which is a form of disease affecting cattle, which has been under control for more than 70 years because of that natural barrier that the Darien Gap offers. My opinion is that we still have a long way to go until that happens. Others That is right because there is a deep jungle between this two countries (in the continuity that you see). Within 20 years, they will bridge the Darien Gap, that is guaranteed. NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
