The islands should belong to Argentina. England is half way around the world and has nothing to do in the southern part of the southern hemisphere!! :) Just because a nation has financial and military power- doesn't justify the fact that they steal lands from less powerful countries. Others As I understand it from memory and I may not be entirely right, the Malvinas are the Falkland Islands. These islands are near Argentina but belong to Britain. There is a territorial dispute between Argentina and Britain over the Islands. They are called Malvinas by Argentina and countries that recognize Argentina's claims and the Falklands by Britain and those who recognize Britain's claims. Argentina invaded the islands during Margaret Thatcher's term as Prime Minister and Britain currently maintains a base to ensure security. BRITISH as you well know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Otherwise known by the correct name of THE FALKLANDS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Come and get them then! (again) "is not true"......and Argentina does`nt belong to you either. you stole it from the natives. The islands belong to the people who live there, and they do not want to become part of Argentina. |
