if with monsters you mean like legends, myth, or like some beliefs of a town, there are everywhere, specially in smalls towns, there are some like "el coco" (the coconut), "la llorona" (the crying woman), "la patasola" (the woman with one leg)... i don麓t know whether i helped or not, but anyway good luck with your project.

in the neighborhood of The candelaria in bogota, there is a lady specialized on ghosts, she takes you to their houses.
In medellin there is the crying woman, whose story tells that she got pregnant and drowned her baby and then kept crying for him
there is the story of the patasola (women with only one leg) whose story tells she keeps hanging around the country and if she finds people she takes them away
