In what countries is Salsa danced in? |
Travel Info In what countries is Salsa danced in? Travel Tips Salsa is danced in every continent in the world. While stationed in Japan, I went to several Salsa dancing clubs where they played salsa music. I asked my Japanese friend if she understood what they said in the music and she said that she didn't have to understand it, she could feel the beat in her heart and it showed though her hips. She was a great Salsera. Others I believe SPAIN. not sure though in latin america for example: peru Salsa is actually danced in every latin american country. Even though every country has its own folkloric dance, salsa is the most popular. It originated in the carribean mostly in Puerto Rico. Colombia is huge in Salsa... if you listen to a lot of Salsa....you can tell small differences between Puerto Rican, Cuban and Colombian Salsa..... Grupo Niche is the most famous Salsa band in Colombia =) Salsa-cuban for example the famous Celia Cruz. They started the trend. spain has nothing to do with it.They're like the british version of latins because of they're accent+way of living. Puerto rico,Dominican Republic and other countries in south america are good in it but Puerto Rico is closest to it. Salsa is a pasrt of much of the Spanish and Latin American culture. It is an important dance culture in these countries. Mexico, Spain and Colombia are the three best places to learn or enjoy watching Salsa dances in. |
