Can a french citizen enter argentina with a one-way flight ticket? |
Travel Info Hi, I'm a french citizen who's about to go to South America for 6 months. I'm thinking about entering through Buenos Aires with a one-way ticket by Alitalia (Paris-Milan-Buenos Aires). Am I running into trouble since they sometimes ask for a return ticket? Travel Tips The issue will be with your airline, not immigration. They may deny you boarding. BA is OK, as are American Airlines. The only one I know you will not be able to board is Qantas, and that would be unlikely considering your routing. You should call Alitalia, as it appears you will be flying them. Others Yes you can, there is no problem here. Also, if you stay more than the three months you are supposedly allowed, you only pay 50 pesos to get out and everything is ok! Just tell them you didn麓t get a return ticket because you are going to travel by bus through south america. I've run into this problem several times while traveling. My advice to you is to book a return reservation on another airline. (important since Alitalia won't be able to confirm whether it's valid or not via their system) Change anything that says "reserved" to "purchased" and print it out. I find it's always best to carry an itinerary just in case. |
