Between Costa Rica and Panama, Which country is better to go abroad? |
Travel Info My goal is to learn Spanish as well as being surrounded by culture. Costa Rica and Panama have different culture. One is filled with forest while the other is modern(Panama). I cant decide which country to go to for the month of July. Travel Tips If you can try to spend 15 days in Costa Rica and 15 days in Panama. I'm a Panamanian and you can experience the difference in cultures in that way. Panama City is a more modern metropolis than San Jose, but then again that is the beauty of San Jose. In Panama you will find that people are more busy, and that they like to party about everything. Costa Rica is a bit more laid back, especially if you go to the beach. Panamanians and Costaricans are great people so there's no point in saying who's better. Have fun in CA. Others i think u should go to Nicaragua instead Both places would work for learning Spanish. Both countries are quite modern although Panama City looks more modern at first glance (it resembles Miami). Panama definitely has better roads and public transport and CR definitely has better food. How do you handle the heat? The Central Valley of Costa Rica is quite cool (rarely hitting the 80s) while Panama for the most part is very hot and humid. Personal experience and talking to my daughter who has lived in CR and is now living in Panama. I will say that Panama. Panama it has both things Forest and Modern places... It is balanced... Now It is true that CR has a nive Wild Forest, but they are not as modern as Panama. If those are the two things on the table (Forest and Modern) then Panama has both, CR doesnt... But I do have to agree that for learning purposes any of the two contries are good. For learning spanish, Costa Rica and has a wonderful places specially in pacific coast but Panama is hot! |
