Beer from Honduras? |
Travel Info Has anyone ever had a beer from Honduras ( Salva Vida) and can anyone tell me how I can buy some in the US? It's been one of the best beers I have ever had in a recent trip to Roatan Island, Honduras. Travel Tips I lived on Roatan for seven months in 2003 and fell in love with Port Royal Export beer. While I was there Cerveceria Hondurena was bought by SABMiller (South African Breweries/MIller - which is one of the top 3 breweries in the world- by sales) so you might want to contact them. There is a Honduran restuarant in San Francisco that sells SalvaVida, so I know it is theoretically possible to get it here. One interesting thing about SalvaVida. Legend is that the two original brewers were named Salvador and Vicente, which led to the SalvaVida name (lifesaver!). Others what state do you live in, here in jersey there is a couple of Honduran restaurant and they sell that beer there |
