Recommend a guide book for Colombia? |
Travel Info I need a guide book for Colombia, but I've heard the Lonely Planet one is no good. So far the best I've seen is the free one from poorbuthappy.com, but I want something alittle more substantial. Travel Tips Hi, I'm glad you are planning to visit Colombia. As a colombian I am proud of it. It's a beatiful country and I recommend you to visit this website to find some info: http://www.turismocolombia.com/prehome.a... It has an English version link. Others I got one for you but it's in spanish....if you want to try it... http://www.turiscolombia.andes.com/visit... good luck and enjoy my country travel guides may be hard to come by since it's not a popular destination, but try this: -Secret Vistas of Colombia by Andres Hurtado Garcia http://www.colombia4you.com/ http://www.colombianblog.com/ Lonely Planet rated Colombia as one of the top 10 destinations for 2007. ENJOY this beautiful country and it's beautiful people!!! http://www.lonelyplanet.com/worldguide/d... http://www.travelpod.com/travel-blog-ent... It is in Spanish, and you can find there what you can do by areas in the country http://www.turismocolombia.com/library/m... I have no idea why you were told that the Lonely Planet Guide wasn't good. It is fantastic! I lived in Bogota for three months last year and the Lonely Planet guide never steered me wrong. |
