Bogota, Colombia, place to stay, near the airport? |
Travel Info Can any one recommend a hotel or hostel near the airport in Bogota. I will fly in around 7pm & need to meet someone at the airport in the morning. I don't want to go all the way to "La Candelaria," but I also don't want to spend $100+. Something around $20-40. Travel Tips Take both a MasterCard and a Visa card with you - it often makes a difference. In your shoes, I'd contact the American Express Travel Office closest to you and explain exactly what you want. You'd be surprised what they will come up with - and sometimes you get fantastic deals if you agree to charge it to one card or the other. Or, send me an email directly and I'll give you the contact information for my friend and guide in Bogota who will pick you up from the airport, put you up in the apartment behind his house, and get you back in the morning. Others I used to stay at the: Casa Dann Carlton Calle 94 No. 19-71 Bogota, Colombia It is only 15 to 20 minutes away from Airport. Why?? la candelaria is really beautiful...a really nice place to go...you should go there...well, if you dont want to, i am pretty sure the airport has its own hotel but i dont know the name..you can ask someone over there since there are many people who speak English in El dorado airport. try also www.hotels.com good luck |
