Best time to go to PDC Mexico?

We are trying to plan a trip to Mexico...most likely Playa del Carmen. We can go anytime in April or May. We would like to go when the weather isnt too hot and it isnt very crowded. Also, we want to avoid hurricane season and rain! When is the best time to go?

Last Easter, I went to PDC and stayed at the Riu Tequila. I highly reccomend this, or any of the Riu chain hotels. The weather was just below 30 degrees C (just under 86 degrees F), with a nice breeze some days. These conditions were perfect. the best time to go to playa del carmen is in may the reason being is that in aprill you will have easter and in mexico that is avery important holiday and most people that can travel will more than likly tack vacation at that time due to most companies bring closed at that time.
April to July would be prime
