To mexicans out there, are you happy in your country or would you emigrate? |
Travel Info Wages are really low in Mexico and the cost of living is huge (almost same as Canada), also people work long hours and have few vacation days Are you happy living there? or would you emigrate somewhere else? Why? Travel Tips i live in Mexico and i am Mexican and i don't like it, there is a lot of violence and it makes me want to live somewhere else, if violence was not a factor then i would love to keep living in Mexico, people is nice and work places are great, some schools are good, like my high school has very important people and very known in Mexico, and it is not expensive i think the us is more expensive, by the way tomorrow is flag day in Mexico. Others hey, i know i'm not mexican... but i have friends that live in mexico and i go there to visit them... anyway, i asked them why mexicans move to the states and it's because they can't afford to live there. however the mexicans that can afford to live there tell me they love! the only they that they wish they could learn more of is english. i have a friend now looking to go to a univeristy to learn more english because it's harder to learn outside of the country. and if i had the chance, i'd totally live in mexico. great music, great dance.............and a fabulous ancient culture used to shape the world those times................ three things which money cant buy really................. perhaps the situation-during our times- is weak with the struggle, what money could buy. a good governance, faith in their own culture- roots and the fabulous vibrant energy which is so specially associated with the people, is all it'd take to change the situation. I'm Mexican. I would never leave my country. I am a teacher here in Zacatecas and if I move to El Norte I'd be picking tomatoes. I think I'll stay here. I'm not a Mexican, so I hope you don't mind me putting in my two cents. I did live in Mexico for 10 years. I just want to say that while wages are low in Mexico, and clearly there's a lot of poverty, to say that the cost of living is "huge (almost same as Canada)" is nuts. There are several places in Mexico that are literally overrun with Canadians and Americans, because they can afford to have things like maids and gardeners there, whereas in their own countries they'd be hard pressed to even live comfortably. I knew some Mexican women/families who had a family member working in the States. They did not want to emigrate, but badly needed the money he sent to them. Mexican people, by and large, love their country and do not wish to leave it. There's a difference between wanting to emigrate and wanting to do whatever is necessary to get out of poverty. I live in Monterrey Mexico,.and i am very happy living here, it is a very modern city..if i need anything from the US...i just go to Laredo for shopping and come back to my country.. i would not leave my country...i like to live here.. regards.. |
