Salvadorians vs. mexicans?

well im Mexican and i have nothing against any culture or heritage ect. but i've always wondered why salvadorians hate mexicans. could u explain?

Maybe it's the same reason mexicans don't like americans.

People from central america are discriminated and sometimes they receive the worst treatmen when they are caught as illegal inmigrants in Mexico (they are just travelling to reach the US)

Jails in south mexico that are made for illegals are so small and overcrowded. It's a shame that we are worst treating the people in central america, than the way american treat mexican in the US.

I'm Mexican too and I've never heard this. Maybe some do, but I doubt all do.
hhmmm, i have never heard this. but one time i heard a mexican friend say she thought all south americans were jealous of mexicans because it was easier for them to come across the US border. but maybe they angry that mexico is a more successful country. or maybe they don't really hate mexicans.
Does Mexico usually beat them in futbol? I don't know, but it's a guess. It may sound silly to Americans, but around the world futbol is taken quite seriously. I think in the '60s war broke out between El Salvador and Nicaragua over a futbol game.
I think it has to do with the racial tensions that rose up between the two groups in the 1980s when many Salvadorians came to the United States because of the Civil War. I heard that during that time Mexican gangs would gang up on Salvadorians and in retaliation Salvadorians formed their own gangs. This is what I've HEARD...but you might want to double check. I've always wondered about that too. I didn't even know about this whole issue till I was in highschool and some Mexicans in my Spanish class made fun of me for being Salvadorian.
