Which is better...Mazanillo or Puerto Vallarta? |
Travel Info used to live in mexico, but never did the "tourist" type cities...boyfriend is mexican so no real problems with communication or 'out of the way' places. so....that said, has anyone been to these cities and which did you prefer? we like to relax and enjoy nice scenery, but we like to go out for live music, clubs, etc.. as well. i'm concerned that mazanillo might be too quiet for us...but vallarta is so vast i have NO idea where to stay. we were just thinking we'd show up and pick out a hotel....but seeing that it's spring break time, i'm not sure that's smart. any suggestions? we'd like to drive no further than 3 hours or so beyond guadalajara. Travel Tips Colima is so close to Manzanillo, and I suggest that you go there instead. The only things that you have to worry about is: volcano, scorpions, tarantulas, and if you are easily frightened; frogs and lizards too. I stayed in a cheap motel with the door open all night long and nobody bothered me. The people next door were playing dominoes until 5 am. One night, I went to play videogames at 3 am...GREAT! You'll be lucky to find a place Manzanillo is place to avoid Spring Break!! http://sparks-mexico.com/ I enjoy Puerto Vallarta last year about this time spent a week at Hotel Rosita right on the Boardwalk. no need to drive as you can walk to most places. However cabs are cheap just a few dollars then the city buses were even cheaper. I would go back and plan to but have not been to Mazanillo so I will be unable to compare. |
